		Program Sponsor Child Basic $ 20.00 a month      In this program we reach out to the children that are already going to school but belong to a minority and are      needy. The child receives food through your help. Through the workers of Help a Child the child will be hearing      the gospel. It’s not possible to correspond with your child in this program. You do receive an annual report and      a photo.           Sponsorship of children, just as with one’s own children, is a long-term commitment. The Help a Child Foundation      retains financial responsibility for a child until his or her education is completed and he/she is able to support      herself.      This Sponsor Child Basic program through Help A Child is $20.00 per month [or $ 240.00 per year].      We do not send out reminder notices, so the responsibility to keep your payments up to date will rest with you.      We send you 6-monthly statements, newsletters and end of year tax-receipts.           We also expect you to pay for your sponsorship in advance. One way of looking at this is to imagine your own      child's [or your own] needs. Your child [or you!] would die of hunger if it had to wait before you paid for his/her      food and support a year after you took responsibility for him/her.           So we encourage sponsors to get an Automatic Payment Form and payments can then be deducted from your      account monthly.      Program Sponsor Child $ 40.00 a month      A child in this sponsorship program lives with her/his parents or family. The family is too poor to feed the      children most of the time. There is simply no money for education.      Social services are unavailable and this means that the people don’t have any support. They have to try to survive      themselves. Many children are at high risk of ending up in child labour or on the streets. More and more children      are exposed to the risks of prostitution and Aids. Help a Child tries to prevent this or tries to change this when it      has already happened.      In this program Help a Child gives the following support:      The child goes to a daycentre every day or to a local school. The child receives education, meals and homework      support. The workers from Help a Child are educating the children from their Christian beliefs. The child receives      medical care if necessary. There is a possibility to correspond with your child.       Sponsorship of children, just as with one’s own children, is a long-term commitment. From the child program you will      receive an annual report and photo and the child will write a letter twice a year.            We also expect you to pay for your sponsorship in advance. Every family is different and once a year we make      a report to see what the best way is to help the family.      All the family members are receiving help including education, information about nutrition (and nutrition), clothing      and medical care. We also look into the needs of the area were the people live. Sometimes one simple thing can      help the whole environment. There is a possibility to correspond with your child.        Sponsorship of children, just as with one’s own children, is a long-term commitment. The Help a Child Foundation      retains financial responsibility for a child until his or her education is completed and he/she is able to support      herself.      This Sponsor Family program through Help A Child is $80.00 per month [or $960.00 per year].      We do not send out reminder notices, so the responsibility to keep your payments up to date will rest with you.      We send you 6-monthly statements, newsletters and end of year tax-receipts.
